When Taste Cuisine reviewed its marketing strategy, branding was the top priority. Director, Zoe Mulchinock comments; “we wanted to promote two new venues and attract new clients and venues. Our brand was out-dated and no-longer reflected what Taste Cuisine is all about, so we decided to refresh it.”
Swink Design was introduced by Taste Cuisine’s marketing partner, Why Marketing. Zoe recalls; “Swink’s ‘Anytime Plan’ dove-tailed beautifully into what we needed. Lots of marketing actions were prescribed and so the idea of having fixed monthly billing really suited us. We could get our branding, design and artwork done immediately but pay for it over a 12-month period.”
The branding process involved a detailed look at Taste Cuisine’s values, markets, competition and aspirations. Zoe says; “the process was very straight-forward; we love Swink’s personal approach and close attention to detail.” Three concepts were produced and a colour palette was refined with variations on the theme to differentiate weddings from the corporate brand. Finally, a logo pack and brand guideline document were created to ensure consistent use of the new logo, colours and typefaces.
Zoe couldn’t be happier with the end results, she comments; “We have successfully secured venues that will contribute up to £350k to our bottom line and wedding enquiries have increased by 20%. We attribute this to the new branding and combined marketing effort.”
The next step for Swink was to create new, branded collateral. This included business stationery, brochures and floor plans for a number of key venues plus promotional postcards and banners. Zoe comments; “we’ve seen a 25% increase in enquiries generated through printed materials such as leaflets – a very satisfying return on our investment and hopefully just the beginning of our continued success.”
