The brief

The Town Management Team conducted a number of focus groups which included local residents, local businesses and visitors. The aim of these sessions was to establish perception, identity and the aspirations of Morley. Swink pooled together all comments – good and bad. The findings would lead the thinking on the brand identity project to ensure on its success. After a scoping session a clear direction was agreed and Swink set to work.

The results

The Morley brand identity has been well received by all concerned and there has been some fantastic feedback. Having the iconic town hall in the logo itself was a key decision, it’s the heartbeat of the town and made perfect sense. The subtle ‘M’ in the logo also adds another layer to the logo. A simple brand guideline document was also created to ensure brand consistency. The identity was rolled out through a number of events in Morley Town Centre.
